Outcomes of the Mumbai Delegation’s Visit to Iran Expo 2025
The Iran Expo 2025 recognized as the largest commercial event in the Islamic Republic of Iran took place in Tehran from April 28 to May 2 2025. Today the closing ceremony of this significant event is underway attended by international business leaders and traders.
The exhibition welcomed 2,759 traders from 111 countries, including 1,950 from 41 Asian countries, 165 from 22 European countries, 617 from 39 African countries, 25 from 8 American countries, and 2 from one country in Oceania. This extensive global participation positioned Iran Expo 2025 as a pivotal platform for regional and international business interactions. Under the coordination of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai, a commercial delegation from the regions under its jurisdiction was dispatched to Tehran to explore collaboration opportunities with Iranian partners. During their stay, the delegation visited numerous exhibition booths and engaged in productive B2B negotiations with Iranian companies and traders. Key highlights of their visit included interactions with the Iran-India Friendship Association and participation in the dedicated “India Day” event, organized in collaboration with Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization. The delegation’s speeches at this event marked a significant step toward strengthening bilateral trade relations. Due to the delegation’s tight schedule and to leverage opportunities across other Iranian provinces, follow-up meetings with Iranian traders were scheduled to be conducted via webinars. These engagements resulted in valuable agreements in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, agriculture, oil derivatives, petrochemicals, automotive, and tourism. Iran Expo 2025 reaffirmed Iran’s role as a regional trade hub and provided a robust platform for fostering international economic cooperation. The outcomes of this event are expected to significantly enhance Iran’s trade and economic relations with various countries, including India, in the near future.
