In the name of God the compassionate the merciful Good evening ladies, gentlemen and dear friends. It is my pleasure to welcome all of you to this friendly gathering and screening of International Award winning documentary film “Café Irani Chai” and “Khaneh be Doosh”. The diplomats and government authorities of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai has been serving dear Iranians residing here, and had been constantly in touch with them.  Needless to say, Iranian cinema is very famous and I am proud of the cinematic connection between the two countries of Iran and India which goes back to around 100 years Sometimes I watch and follow Iranian movies but only as a viewer not as a commentator or critic. Fortunately today there are many experts among us that we will certainly enjoy their comments and feedbacks. This is the first year I am honored to attend this event and I hope that this ceremony is held each year more glorious than previous years. Iranian cinema is an independent cultural entity and is supported by institutions inside or outside Iran.Our goal is to introduce Iranian culture and cinema abroad. Today I have the honor to begin the ceremony with the appreciation and felicitation of a master Iranian filmmaker, which with well-directed and good documentary films left us with lasting memories. “café irani chai” and “khaneh be doosh” directed by my dear friend Mr. Mansoor Showghi Yazdi won  the best awards as an Iranian moviesaccording to viewers feedback. Today is a great honor for all of us being with Mr. Showghi. I am glad that I was given this opportunity to present him this award. Special thanks to culture house of Islamic republic of Iran for the organizing   this friendly gathering Cinema is a common language among all people who understand the language of the picture; even sometimes this does not require any dialogue or translation as in the early time there was no dialogue in movies Analyzing and respecting  the works of these filmmakers encourage ethical cinema productions and also highlights the importance of the younger generation of filmmakers as the future of cinema. I hope we can be more diligent in getting to know and introduce our country's culture in the global arena at the same time expands accountability of authorities in this regard. Though there are other ways of arts to showcase the social, economic and security situation of the society, Cinema is a manifestation of all these arts and as all of us know, movies and serials have lasting effects on society. Our society today needs artists like Mr. Showghi and the other enthusiast interested in the film industry to build up a better society in the future.
