Press (Media) Visa

It is a short-term visa for all activists in the field of foreign mass media (including visual and audio media such as television and radio, etc.) and written mass media such as newspapers and press, and media from cyberspace, digital and digital producers, producers, creators and everyone involved. The type of report, film, etc., filmmaking, media technical affairs, etc.) are issued for travel to Iran. 

Press (Media) Visa application:

Applicants, after correspondence and coordination with the consulate general's press office (iranconsulate.mum@mfa.gov.ir), must register their visa application by referring to the E-Visa system, and completing all the required information, and after receiving permission from the center Public and Media Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with all the required documents, should refer to the consulate general.

 Required Documents:

  1. Original passport: The applicant's passport must be valid for at least 6 months.
  2. Visa application form from E-Visa
  3. Indian residence card: Applicants with a non-Indian passport are required to upload and provide the Indian residence card (i.e. visa or OCI).
  4. Permission of the legal guardian of persons under 18 years of age: The applicant under the age of 18 is required to submit the letter of consent of his / her legal guardian approving for his / her trip to Iran at the Notary Public office along with other documents. (If the legal guardian is present at the consulate general to present the documents, there is no need for notarization).
  5. Payment of visa fee and bank receipt.  

 Important Description:

- Refuses to send incomplete documents, otherwise the documents will be returned without any action.

- Any forged documents and unrealistic information will result in the rejection of the application and may result in a ban on entry into Iran. If any unrealistic documents or information are disclosed after the visa is issued, the border authorities can prevent the applicant from entering Iran.

- If we need to interview the applicant, you will be called personally to the consulate general.

- If the issued visa is valid for 90 days, it means that the applicant has 90 days to enter Iran and reside in Iran based on the period of residence.
