Registration of Death 

For Iranian

          In order to register a death, one of the relatives of the deceased must inform the Consular section about the death and submit the necessary documents to request the death registration. If you want to transfer the body to Iran, fill out the transfer request form and contact the Consulate General. If the relatives of the deceased in Iran are informed about the death, they can go to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Building No. 3.

  Required Documents

  1. First, register the deceased on the Mikhak site and fill application form for death registration. The end receive the tracking code. After that, submit the following documents along with the printout of the received tracking code to the Consular Section.
  2. Submission of the original valid Iranian identity document of the applicant for death registration, such as birth certificate, valid passport or national card and valid proof of Indian residence of the applicant.
  3. Submission of the original death certificate issued by local authorities
  4. Presenting the original shenasnameh, passport and national ID card of the deceased
  5. Registration of death is free. If the declarant of death applies for the issuance of a "summary of the death registration transcript" or a death certificate, the cost of issuing a death certificate is 1470 rupees.

 

Required documents to attestation the death certificate (issued by Indian authorities):

       If the death registration documents are rushed or incomplete, you can submit the following documents to register the death in Iran.

  1. Original death certificate
  2. Filling application form in the mikhak for the translation and attestation of death certificate
  3. Iranian identity documents of the deceased such as shenasnameh, Iranian passport and national ID card
  4. Identification documents of the applicant
