Issuance of Shenasnameh under 15 years

 

    An Iranian Shenasnameh will be issued for children born in India to an Iranian father.

Required documents:

  1. First, register in the Mikhak site and select the "Request for Issuance of Shenasnameh" section and complete it and receive the tracking code. After that, submit the following documents along with the received tracking code printout to the consular section.
  2. The original Shenasnameh of the parents (in order to include the child's name in the Shenasnameh, it is necessary to provide the original)
  3. Original national ID card of parents
  4. Valid Indian residency such as a valid visa or Permanent Resident (OCI)
  5. Original birth certificate
  6. Paying the cost of issuing a Shenasnameh to the Consulate General's account

 Up to 15 days from the date of birth Rs.2625

 From 16 days to six months after birth Rs.3675

 Six months after the date of birth an amount of Rs.5250

Note: The surname of the child is the same as the surname of the father in the Iranian Shenasnameh.

Note: Religious minorities (official religions included in the constitution) can choose the selected name according to their culture and religion.
