Visa Waiver Plan for Indian Nationals
In accordance with the enactment issued by the cabinet of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the announcement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, beginning 04/02/2024, the visa waiver plan will be implemented for 28 countries, including India. The details and conditions are outlined as follows:
- This enactment applies solely to holders of ordinary passports, allowing them to enter Iran visa-free once every six months for a non-extendable stay of 15 days, exclusively for tourism purposes.
- Indian nationals traveling to Iran for purposes other than tourism, or those seeking more frequent and/or longer visits, must obtain visas through Iranian missions abroad.
- This exemption is exclusively applicable to Indian nationals who are traveling to Iran and utilizing the identical visa waiver for their return journey from Iran, specifically through air borders.
Note:
- This visa is free of charge and it doesn’t need to fill application form before travel.
- The passport shall not be stamped with entry or exit stamp by the immigration in Iran.
