Marriage between Iranian man and Iranian woman
Marriage registration process:
In order to apply for a marriage registration, the applicant must first visit the Mikhak site i.e. https://mikhak.mfa.gov.ir and register and then fill the application online form for marriage registration and upload the related documents. After receiving the tracking code receipt (which is a 12 characters code) from the site, the applicant should visit the Consulate General with original documents.
Required documents for marriage registration:
1- Completing the form in the mikhak site to register the marriage of an Iranian woman with an Iranian man
2- The original shenasnameh with photo
3- The original certificate of celibacy (if the shenasnameh of the wife or husband or both are duplicates)
4- The official written permission of the father or the paternal grandfather of the female applicant
Note: In case of father's death, the father's death certificate should be provided.
5- In case the applicant is divorcee, the original of the divorce certificate must be provided.
6- The original certificate of Sharia (Islamic) marriage from one of the valid Islamic mosques and centres in India (for Zoroastrian, Jewish and Christian compatriots, it is mandatory to present a marriage certificate based on the usual procedure in the aforementioned religions)
7- Official Indian marriage certificate (issued by authorised Indian institution, like municipality)
8- The original health certificate and the result of the couple's medical tests, including blood group, absence of sexually transmitted disease, Thalassemia, absence of drug addiction, and a certificate from one of the reputed hospitals or medical centres in India.
Note: If more than one year has passed since the marriage of the couple or the couple have children, it is not mandatory to submit this certificate.
